PROFESSIONAL STRING QUARTET BASED IN SUFFOLK
The Gainsborough Quartet is a busy, long established ensemble based in East Anglia. Their repertoire spans four centuries, from Bach to Bridgerton, and includes distinctive, high quality arrangements for string quartet of film music and contemporary pop songs alongside the classical canon.
Recent appearances include Holkham Hall, Gainsborough’s House in Sudbury and the London International Festival of Early Music.
Equally at home on the concert platform and in more informal settings, the quartet performs at recitals, high-end corporate events, weddings, parties, and with choral societies, bringing a reputation for warm, expressive and vibrant playing. Collectively, the players have performed across the UK for leading public figures and royalty, including Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
